Somersfield Academy is proud to introduce the graduating Class of 2026. This remarkable group of students will continue their educational journeys at universities across Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, and Bermuda, pursuing programmes ranging from business, economics, and engineering to psychology, marine biology, culinary arts, film studies, and medical illustration.
Legends, Stars and New Graduates Unite for Alumni Event
The Legends and Stars Alumni Community Matches welcomed a record number of alumni this year, making it the most well-attended alumni event in the school's history and highlighting the strength of its growing alumni community.
Secondary Summer Reading 2026

Somersfield Students Shine at Primary Pickleball Tournament
Somersfield Academy’s pickleball team competed at the W.E.R. Joell Tennis Stadium Primary School Tournament after dedicated training. Somersfield achieved outstanding results, winning both girls’ and boys’ divisions, showing strong teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship.
Second Annual Secondary Sports Awards Celebrates Student Athletic Excellence
Somersfield Academy’s Second Annual Secondary Sports Awards celebrated an outstanding year of athletics, recognising student-athletes and coaches for their dedication, teamwork, and success. Highlights included 11 championship titles, 47 teams, and an inspiring keynote from alumnus Miles Outerbridge.
Bermuda Day Mini Marathon Brings Energy and School Spirit
Somersfield runners took part in the Bermuda Day Mini Marathon on a bright and sunny morning, racing from Somerset to Hamilton. Students and teachers lined the route to cheer them on, creating a fantastic atmosphere filled with school spirit, determination, and celebration.
Student Laptop Programme 2026-27

Strategic Evolution of IB MYP e-Assessment at M5 Level
Somersfield Academy today announced a significant strategic shift in its approach to assessment within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) at the M5 level, effective for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Statement from the Senior Pedagogical Team on MYP e-Assessment
Beginning in 2026-27, M5 assessment the will shift to a hybrid model, replacing full MYP certification with Diploma-aligned exams, while retaining optional e-Assessments for external accreditation. Read the statement from the Head of Secondary, Charlie Judd.
Strong performances at BSSF Middle School Track & Field Championships
Somersfield entered 59 students across two days of BSSF middle school track & field at the National Sports Centre, earning 12 medals and 40 top 8 finishes. Shiloh Stevens was named U13 Champion Boy, and the Sharks placed 4th in multiple team categories. Strong performances throughout.
