Somersfield Academy recognises that a quality education is a significant investment and offers both bursaries and scholarships to support families and students. We believe a Somersfield education should be available regardless of financial circumstances.
Equity & Merit Scholarships
Our Equity and Merit Scholarships aim to empower students in the Bermuda community to become global leaders. These scholarships are for academically excellent students who have the potential to contribute to global issues, locally. The scholarships will provide financial assistance to eligible and motivated students who embody the values of the school.
Application Criteria
Grade level: M4/S1, M5/S2, or DP1/S3.
Demonstrated ambition, drive, and impact.
Commitment towards our underlying vision, mission and values
How to Apply
Submit a student-authored essay showcasing a passion for learning and a positive attitude toward personal growth, plus an active involvement in community services or extracurricular activities (e.g., sports, arts, leadership roles, etc.).
Submit an online application and bursary.
Application Deadline
Deadline for applications 2026/27 is March 9, 2026.
Bursaries
Somersfield Academy provides education for students ages 3 to 18 years, irrespective of the student's religion, beliefs, ethnic or national origins. The school's bursary programme was established to support families who wish their children to attend Somersfield Academy but who are unable to afford the set tuition. Bursary allocations are made solely on the basis of financial need and are not made on the basis of academic, athletic or any other merit.

The family demonstrates clear evidence of financial need.
The student and the family follow all school guidelines and requirements regarding attendance, homework, and behaviour. The family is also required to volunteer time to activities as outlined in the Parent Handbook.
