The Award

Now in its third year since being reintroduced, the Silver Duke of Edinburgh International Award has become a firmly established and valued part of life at Somersfield Academy. What began as a milestone moment has grown into a sustained programme shaped by commitment, perseverance, and a strong culture of service and challenge. Our M5, DP1, and DP2 participants continue to demonstrate consistency and maturity in their approach, supported by the activity coordinator Jason Hammer. With both Bronze and Silver cohorts building confidently on prior experience, participants are well positioned as they prepare for their upcoming Qualifying Journeys.
