Sachio Harrison’s Walkathon: A Journey of Gratitude and Giving
15-year-old Somersfield student Sachio Harrison, inspired by his father’s recovery from a brain tumour, is organising a walkathon to raise $15,000 for LCCA & PALS. Part of his M5 personal project, the December 19 event will involve students walking or running to support medical aid and cancer care.

Somersfield Academy celebrated United Nations Day on October 24 with a ceremony rededicating its peace poles. Mrs Margaret Hallett, former Principal, highlighted the school's peace-loving ethos. Students of all ages participated, culminating in the song Let There Be Peace on Earth.

A team of nine students won the Bank of Butterfield’s Summer Student Employment Programme Challenge. They worked with Somersfield Academy Montessori Trust, creating business proposals for local charities, and earned a $1,650 donation.

Somersfield Academy student Hana Bushara joins three peers on a French language and cultural immersion in Cannes, experiencing classes, host family life, and Bastille Day festivities. The journey, reflecting Somersfield's vision of fostering global awareness, concludes with an enriching stay in Paris.
Pupils Raise $45k for St Baldrick’s
Somersfield Academy raised $45,000 for the St Baldrick’s Foundation as 19 students, parents, and teachers shaved their heads in support of cancer research. The event, part of the school’s Community and Service Day, showed solidarity with cancer sufferers and included a walkathon and other fundraising efforts.
