The Montessori Academy has changed its name to Somersfield Academy in line with the growth of the school. Principal Margaret Hallett said the name-change had been in response to the new school location on Middle Road in Devonshire, and the new Middle Years programme. She said the school had identified the need to adopt a new name and logo, which was more fully reflective of its new facilities at the former National Sports Field, and curriculum.
