Bermuda School Sports Federation Under 16 Netball Tournament
Somersfield Academy triumphed in the inaugural Bermuda School Sports Federation Under 16 Netball Tournament at Bernard's Park. Dominating with 10 points, they secured three wins & a 12-12 draw against BHS, who finished second with 8 points. This milestone victory highlights Bermuda's budding netball talent!
Somersfield Boys Secure 3rd Place Finish in O16 Tournament
Our boys secured 3rd place in the O16 tournament, topping their group with 9 points. They triumphed 3-0 vs BI, 1-0 vs Saltus, & 2-1 vs Berkeley Green, led by standout goals from Grant Reese ’27. A tough 3-0 semi-final loss to Berkeley Gold ended their run, but with a young team, they’re eager for 2025!
M4 Design Students To Present Housing Innovations at the Somersfield Holiday Market
Join us at the Somersfield Holiday Market on 7 Dec (4:00–7:30pm) to celebrate our M4 Design students’ housing solutions for unhoused populations. Students will share their process until 5:30pm, with displays viewable until 7:30pm. Special guests HOME Bermuda & Sophie Stubbs will provide feedback.
Somersfield Academy Under-16 Netball Team Crowned Bermuda National Champions
Somersfield Academy’s Under-16 netball team are Bermuda National Champions after a strong showing at the round-robin tournament on 15 November. With victories over Saltus, Warwick, and Berkeley, and a draw against BHS, the team’s dedication paid off, marking Somersfield’s first-ever netball trophy.
Primary Football Teams Triumph with Teamwork
The Primary Boys’ and Girls’ football teams competed at Harrington Sound, showcasing skill & teamwork. The girls staged a stunning comeback, winning 4-3 with goals from Eva Desjardins, Molly Morton, and Aela Fraser. The boys followed with a 3-1 win, thanks to Trevor Mills and Samuel Bernardino.

Readathon Raises $12,000—Winners Announced
Our Readathon was a huge success! Over 278,003 minutes were read & more than $12,000 raised. Funds will support the Bursary Fund, helping students on overseas trips. Pizza parties were awarded to groups with the highest averages. Thank you to everyone who participated & supported!
Primary Boys B Football Team Show Resilience & Growth in 6-a-Side Tournament
Our Primary Boys B football team battled tough conditions & strong competition in the final day of the 6-a-side tournament at Shelly Bay Field. With wins against Francis Patton & Dalton E. Tucker, they advanced to finish 4th overall. Special thanks to Coach Rychus for his dedicated support.
U13 & O13 Girls Netball Teams Secure Thrilling Victories Over Saltus
The U13 Girls Netball Team triumphed over Saltus with an 18-9 win, showing great teamwork and determination. MVPs Elena Bortoli, Cali Atcheson-Greenidge, and Aniah Tucker played key roles. The O13’s also won 14-13 in a thrilling comeback, with strong play in the final quarter securing their victory. Well done, Sharks!
Primary Boys Football Team Triumphs with a 2-0 Victory over MSA!
The Primary Boys football team celebrated a thrilling 2-0 win over MSA at Somersfield! Congratulations to Samuel Bernardino & Marcus Cann for scoring, & to Benjamin Sherratt for his solid goalkeeping. Thanks to Mr. Wade for stepping in as coach & MYP student Izaiah Atwell for doing an excellent job as referee!
