Aisling Homan, 15, a Somersfield Academy student, wrote Fighting the Battle, a book inspired by her late cousin Liam, who died of cancer at age 3. Written for her IB project, the book shares stories of children battling cancer. Aisling plans to donate all proceeds to the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.

Somersfield Academy celebrated Peace Day on September 21 with messages of peace and reflection led by M5 Prefects. The capsule, to be opened on the school’s 50th anniversary, was placed at the centre of the school's Legacy Walkway.
