Our P5 students explored the power of design in their Innovations class by recreating book covers using Canva! As part of their unit on media creation, they learned how to combine text and images effectively to communicate ideas. At Somersfield, we see technology as more than just a tool—it is a catalyst for creativity, learning, and global citizenship.

Sharks Triumph in Thrilling Match!
In a thrilling match on a wet Somersfield field, our primary girls football team defeated Harrington Sound after a 2-2 tie led to penalties. Eva Desjardins excelled as goalkeeper, with key goals from Davi Wade, Aela Fraser, Bella Dill & Eva herself. Our Primary Girls Sharks now advance to face BHS on Monday, December 2!

Primary Football Teams Triumph with Teamwork
The Primary Boys’ and Girls’ football teams competed at Harrington Sound, showcasing skill & teamwork. The girls staged a stunning comeback, winning 4-3 with goals from Eva Desjardins, Molly Morton, and Aela Fraser. The boys followed with a 3-1 win, thanks to Trevor Mills and Samuel Bernardino.

Somersfield Primary Girls Football Team Come Fourth in Thrilling 7-a-Side Finals
Our Somersfield Primary Girls Football team competed admirably in the finals at Shelly Bay Field on November 6th, showing incredible effort and resilience. With an initial 2-0 win against Harrington Sound, thanks to Eva Desjardins and Molly Morton, our girls advanced to the next round, ultimately finishing in 4th place amongst all primary schools in Bermuda.

Primary Boys B and Girls East Central Zone Six-a-Side Tournament at BFA Field
Somersfield Academy’s Primary Boys B and Girls teams excelled in the East Central Zone Six-a-Side Tournament on 1st November, both earning spots in the finals. The Girls team triumphed in all three matches, while the Boys B team’s strong performance secured their place despite one loss. Special thanks to Coach Rychus for his inspiring leadership. Finals are at Shelly Bay: Girls on 6th Nov, Boys B on 13th Nov, and Boys A on 20th Nov.
