Sharks Triumph in Thrilling Match!
November 29, 2024 — On a very wet and muddy Somersfield field, our primary girls football team faced off against Harrington Sound. The game began with a strong performance from our girls, who quickly scored two goals—one by Molly Morton and another by Eva Desjardins.
Harrington Sound, however, were determined not to back down and managed to level the score, tying the game 2-2. The match remained highly competitive, with both teams battling hard until the final whistle. As the game required a decisive result to move on to the next round, the teams entered into a penalty shootout.
Eva Desjardins stepped up as our goalkeeper for the penalties, showing incredible composure and skill. After an intense round of eight penalty shots per team, Somersfield emerged victorious! Penalties were scored by Davi Wade, Aela Fraser, Bella Dill, and Eva Desjardins, securing the win for our Sharks.
