A Novel Celebration: Summer Reading & Dessert Party
Our Summer Reading programme was one for the books! Students turned the page on summer with their chosen reads, and some couldn’t book it fast enough, reading four or more titles. We celebrated these literary stars with a dessert party that was sweet as fiction, full of tasty treats and plot-twisting discussions. What a novel way to kick off the school year!

Our Own David Lunn to Lead 5K Fun Run and Walk to Support Bursary Fund
Somersfield Academy is proud to announce that David Lunn, a dedicated alumnus and Physical Education Teacher at the school, will be hosting a 5K Fun Run and Walk to raise funds for the Somersfield Academy Bursary Fund. The event is scheduled for September 29, 2024, and invites students, parents, alumni, and community members to join in this exciting and meaningful cause.
Somersfield Academy Alumni Present Scholarship Award
Somersfield Academy alumni, through their Betta Dais network, presented their second scholarship funded by their annual golf fundraiser at St. Regis Golf Course in Bermuda. They raised $7,000 to support a bursary for Shiloh Stevens, a promising student, who has joined the school in 2024. Alumni, including Marquis and Jai Burgess, emphasise giving back and mentoring, highlighting the Somersfield's commitment to inspiring socially conscious, independent thinkers.
Caribou Mathematics Competitions
The Somersfield Mathematics department are delighted to announce the 2024-2025 Caribou Mathematics Competitions at Somersfield Academy. Caribou Mathematics is a Canadian based international educational platform that offers the opportunity for students, from P1 to DP2, to enter up to six online competitions each year.
Nico Bean '26: Somersfield Student Blends Art and Education
Nico Bean '26 has partnered with The Stationery Store to release a new collection of custom notebooks for the back-to-school season. Nico, known for his acrylic pour technique and unique designs, created this collection to reflect personal style and inspire students. The notebooks are available in-store and online, and the collaboration showcases Nico's journey from student to successful entrepreneur.
