Somersfield Athletes Represent Bermuda in Women's Pan American Field Hockey Challenge

Four Somersfield athletes have been selected for Bermuda's squad in the Women's Pan American Challenge. Current student Grace Lightowler '26, the youngest on the team, will make her debut, while veterans Georgia Harris '11, Chrysda Smith '17, and PE teacher Megan Troake will return for another tournament.

Bermuda faces Panama on Saturday, Mexico on Sunday; Guyana on Tuesday; and Brazil on Friday. All matches will take place at 6pm.

This tournament acts as a qualification pathway for the 2027 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, with the top two teams advancing. Mexico, who finished eighth at last year’s Pan Am Games, will provide a formidable challenge for Bermuda in their opening match.

Somersfield Academy is proud to support these talented athletes as they represent Bermuda on the international stage. Best of luck to Grace, Georgia, Chrysda, and Megan!
