MYP & DP Students Attend Youth Entrepreneurship Summit
Somersfield Academy DP2 students recently seized the opportunity to expand their entrepreneurial horizons at the Youth Entrepreneurship Summit held at Pier 6. The summit proved to be an invaluable experience, offering a platform for budding business minds to glean insights from successful entrepreneurs and uncover the secrets to their triumphs.

Secondary Students Navigate Challenges in Cardboard Boat Race
High school pupils from across the island built and raced cardboard boats at the National Sports Centre on Friday.
During the event, students representing The Berkeley Institute, Bermuda High School, Somersfield Academy, CedarBridge Academy, Bermuda Institute and Warwick Academy had 90 minutes to build a vessel using only cardboard and duct tape.

MYP Students participate in BUEI Youth Climate Summit
The BUEI Bermuda Youth Climate Summit took place this week with over 150 students aged 13-22 from schools across the island, including ten participants from Somersfield Academy. Guided by Hannah Horsfield, Education Programmes Coordinator at BUEI and a Somersfield alumna, students collaborated to foster engagement on global climate issues, inspiring them to be active contributors to positive change in their communities. Together, they laid the foundation for a year of youth-led activities centered around local climate concerns in conservation, sustainability, and climate justice.

Taking a Stand Against Bullying: SA's Anti-Bullying Week
This week at Somersfield Academy, we took a collective stand against bullying by actively participating in the annual Anti-Bullying Week. In the spirit of embracing individuality and fostering unity, our students donned odd socks as a symbol of celebrating uniqueness. The quirky initiative aimed not only to celebrate diversity but also to send a clear message to bullies that we stand united against their actions. Our vibrant, mismatched socks became a visual representation of our commitment to 'sock it' to bullying.
