DP1 Students Explore Holocaust Survivors' Stories
In recognition of Holocaust Memorial Day on 27 January, Somersfield's DP1 English A: Language and Literature HL class studied the Holocaust through Art Spiegelman’s MAUS. They created projects portraying survivors’ stories, using creative mediums like newspapers, diaries, and maps, to explore the emotional impact of these experiences.

The importance of education
Somersfield Academy is pleased to share an article by student Zarah Siddiqi, advocating for education as a universal right. Zarah emphasises the transformative power of education to break cycles of poverty, improve social skills, and build a better future. She calls for Bermuda to recognise education’s vital role in societal progress.
Building Memories and Resilience with Duke of Edinburgh
Over the past weekend, our M4s, M5s, and DP1s completed their qualifying journey to receive their Duke of Edinburgh award. Led by Ms. Simpson, Ms. Owens, and Ms. Garnett, the Duke of Edinburgh Award is offered to our high-schoolers every year.

CAS Project: Jasmin, Desmond, & Cameron
Three DP2 students, Jasmin Hasselkuss , Desmond Crockwell, and Cameron Simons have been working on their project that features community service and helpful initiatives, focusing on the local Christ Church. Their goal is to provide food for people in need and spread awareness throughout the community about the issue of hunger in Bermuda.
