Somersfield Academy Equity & Merit High School Scholarships
Somersfield Academy is accepting applications for the 2026–27 Equity & Merit Scholarships. 10 places available for Bermudian students entering M4 (S1)–DP1 (S3). These scholarships recognise academic excellence, leadership & community impact, with full or partial tuition support. Apply by March 9, 2026.

Governor Andrew Murdoch and Education Minister Crystal Caesar attended Somersfield Academy’s M5 Personal Project Exhibition, celebrating students’ year-long independent inquiry. Despite a brief power outage, students presented with confidence, resilience, and impressive depth of learning.
Somersfield Robotics Returns to International Competition
Somersfield Academy’s Robotics team returned to international competition for the first time since 2019, taking on top teams in Boston after just three months of preparation. Battling tough conditions and fierce competition, the team achieved an impressive 8th-place finish.

Their presence and thoughtful feedback offered students valuable real-world perspectives and professional insight.
Somersfield continues strong run in KPMG Investment Challenge
Somersfield Academy continues its strong run in the KPMG Senior School Investment Challenge, with The Liquidators surging to first place this year. The result builds on recent top-ten finishes in 2024 and 2025, highlighting consistent student success in finance and investing.
Somersfield Academy & LB Academy Celebrate Successful Football Season
Somersfield Academy is proud of its partnership with LB Football Academy. Led by Leo Burgess, five volunteer coaches deliver inclusive, high-quality lunchtime coaching for P5–DP students, supporting skill development, strong seasons, and a lasting love of the game.
Primary Choir Performs in Skyport’s Holiday Carol-Off
Somersfield’s Primary Choir brought festive cheer to LF Wade International Airport during Skyport’s Great Bermuda Carol-Off, performing with confidence and joy. Support our young singers in the People’s Choice Award by casting your vote for Somersfield.
Rosa Parks Character Award: Namazio Dill ‘26
Namazio Dill ’26 has been awarded the Department of Education’s Butterfly Award, recognising his courage, empathy, resilience, and service. A dedicated leader and active community member, he uplifts others with his quiet strength, humility, and unwavering determination.
Strong Somersfield Showing at National Junior Badminton Tournament
Somersfield Academy hosted the National Junior Badminton Tournament on Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12. The event brought together more than 70 players who competed in over 250 matches across two days. Many Somersfield students participated and earned podium finishes.
5K Run and Walk 2025
Somersfield’s 5K Fun Run & Walk was powered by 32 incredible volunteers—marshals, organisers, water station crews & more—who made the event unforgettable. Their spirit turned a race into a true celebration of fitness, community & giving back.
