Somersfield Academy Students Join UN Conference on Gender Equality
Over March break, DP1 students participated in the UNIS UN Conference on Gender Equality in Manhattan. The conference united over 30 schools worldwide. Students engaged in workshops, debates, and panel discussions, hearing from high-ranking diplomats including Ambassadors of Sweden, Iceland, and Malta.
Community Run in Honour of Former Teacher Reid Kempe
The Somersfield Academy community gathers annually for the Reid Kempe memorial run, honouring the beloved former teacher. Led by spirited house captains and teachers, students race a challenging 3-mile route, embodying the competitive yet supportive ethos Kempe instilled. Daughter Zoe, a dedicated participant, cherishes the event as a tribute to her father's legacy and his passion for running. Reflecting Kempe's influence, the run fosters camaraderie and positivity, resonating deeply with participants.
