Often conducted in the first month of school, this lesson uses a balloon and gold stars to narrate the universe's beginnings. It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of influential individuals while developing research and public speaking skills.

In a thrilling away game, the Somersfield Sharks edged out the Saltus Knights 30-27 in an intense overtime showdown. Grant Reese earned MVP, while Owen Rosorea’s clutch free throws proved crucial. With standout performances from Axel Wideman & Holden Pettingill, the Sharks secured a hard-fought team victory.

Congratulations to Somersfield Academy students Conor Lim, Jared Arnante, Sophia Clingerman, and alternate Suzanne Prabis for representing our school at the Bermuda Spelling Bee Eastern Zone Semi-Finals! Jared and Conor secured second and third place, earning spots in the upcoming finals on March 8. A special thank you to their dedicated coach, Ms. Franklin, for her support. Somersfield Runners Shine at BSSF Middle School Cross Country Championship
Our middle school cross country team put in an outstanding effort at the BSSF Championship at the Arboretum. The U13 girls, led by Evelyn Fahy (3rd) and Elena Bortoli (4th), ran a strong race, while the U13 boys claimed a well-earned bronze medal. The O13 girls showed determination in an unfamiliar sport, and the O13 boys narrowly missed the podium, finishing just 4 points shy.
