Pupils Raise $45k for St Baldrick’s
Somersfield Academy raised $45,000 for the St Baldrick’s Foundation as 19 students, parents, and teachers shaved their heads in support of cancer research. The event, part of the school’s Community and Service Day, showed solidarity with cancer sufferers and included a walkathon and other fundraising efforts.

At the Bermuda National Trust’s annual awards ceremony, individuals and groups were honoured for their exceptional contributions to preserving and enhancing Bermuda’s natural and cultural heritage. Among the distinguished awardees were Somersfield Academy’s Children’s House Division and Robin Horsfield, recognised for their environmental initiatives.
Somersfield Students Join Bermy Bouncers for World Jump Rope Championships

The team, which includes former Somersfield Star Squad members, showcases impressive athleticism and teamwork.

Somersfield Academy students, teachers, and parents are volunteering to shave their heads in support of the St Baldrick’s Foundation, raising funds for childhood cancer research. The event, part of the school’s Community and Service Day, has already raised over $15,000 for the cause.
Weaving a Rich Tapestry of Artistic Journeys
Somersfield Academy presents Tapestry, a showcase blending dance, gymnastics, music, and visual arts. Highlights include performances by the Somersfield Steel Orchestra, acrobats, singers, and an art exhibition. The event celebrates student talents and arts culture on June 14. Tickets available now!
Tapestry: Weaving a rich tapestry of artistic journeys
Combining the visual arts with the performing arts is not always easy, but Somersfield Academy will attempt to do just that this weekend with a special performance. The event, called Tapestry, will incorporate dance, gymnastics, visual arts, and music.
Students Complete CADA Programme
Thirty-four Somersfield students completed the CADA Life Skills Course which has been shown to reduce the risks of alcohol, tobacco, drug abuse and violence.

Somersfield Academy Student Excels at International Debate Tournament Amid Earthquake in Mexico
Somersfield Academy’s Asha Symons, 13, represented Bermuda at the Pan American Debate Tournament in Mexico, facing top teams and an unexpected 7.2 magnitude earthquake. Competing internationally for the first time, Asha showed off her skills and Somersfield’s commitment to global learning.
