Students Complete CADA Programme

May 29, 2014 — The CADA – Encouraging Responsible Alcohol Behaviour (CADA) along with prevention partners, Department of National Drug Control (DNDC) and Parent Resource Institute for Drug Education (PRIDE), as Shadow Minister Michael Weeks, recently handed out certificates to 34 Somersfield Academy students for completing the Life Skills Programme.

CADA spokesperson Anthony Santucci said, “Life Skills Training is a research-validated substance abuse prevention program, proven to reduce the risks of alcohol, tobacco, drug abuse and violence by targeting the major social and psychological factors that promote the initiation of substance use and other risky behaviors.

Mr. Santucci added, “This comprehensive and exciting program provides adolescents and young teens with the confidence and skills necessary to successfully handle challenging situations.”
