Leah Amaral, 15, debuts on Ride the Wave Volume Two with her pop song “Read My Mind.” A student at Somersfield Academy, Leah began performing seriously recently and draws inspiration from Taylor Swift. Passionate about music, she’s also a tennis player and rower. Check out her song on YouTube.

Toby Gibbons, a P4 student at Somersfield Academy, is shaving his head for the third time in support of the St Baldrick’s fundraiser, raising money for children with cancer. He’s aiming to raise $4,000 this year.

Somersfield Mother And Daughter Win Soup-A-Bowl Competition
Tracey and Kayley Gibbons won the fifth annual Eliza DoLittle Soup-A-Bowl Competition with their tomato, spinach, and basil soup. Kayley, a young budding chef, suggested adding basil to the recipe. She’s also baked for the Eliza DoLittle Society’s feeding programme, sharing her love for cooking with others.

Somersfield Academy hosted drama workshops led by Pivotal Theatre, focusing on physical theatre and improvisation. Students engaged in exercises to enhance their physical expression, including exaggerated movements and lifts. They performed mimed skits incorporating these skills, showcasing their collaborative learning.
