Somersfield Academy student vocalists took to the steps of City Hall on 6 May 2025 to perform in honour of World Asthma Day, hosted by Open Airways. Somersfield Academy presents Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical JR. on Friday, January 31 at 5:00pm and Saturday, February 1 at 2:00pm and 6:30pm in the Somersfield hall. Somersfield Middle School Netball Team Crowned Bermuda Champions!
The Somersfield Middle School Netball team won the Bermuda championship after a thrilling tournament! They beat Saltus 7-4 in the semifinals & narrowly defeated BHS 6-5 in the final. With skill, teamwork & incredible coaching, the Sharks are now Middle School & U16 Netball Champions!
Readathon Raises $12,000—Winners Announced
Our Readathon was a huge success! Over 278,003 minutes were read & more than $12,000 raised. Funds will support the Bursary Fund, helping students on overseas trips. Pizza parties were awarded to groups with the highest averages. Thank you to everyone who participated & supported!
Somersfield Middle School Netball Triumphs Over Warwick Academy
Somersfield Academy's Middle School netball teams triumphed in hard-fought league matches against Warwick Academy. The O13s edged out a 9-8 victory with stellar performances from Riley Jones and sharp shooter Milena Millett. The U13s dominated early, ultimately winning 12-8, powered by the dynamic scoring duo Cali Atcheson-Greenidge and Freida Valli.
Riki Teteina: Somersfield's Exceptional Talent Showcased at Spring into the Arts Festival
Somersfield students truly stood out at Spring Into The Arts. The Annie cast delivered a polished and confident performance of "It’s the Hard Knock Life," Riley Jones captivated the audience with a heartfelt solo, and the M2 Band showcased their teamwork and impressive musical growth. The festival underscored the thriving performing arts programme at Somersfield.
