Jared Arnante ’31 Meets Premier After Spelling Bee Victory
Jared Arnante ’31 met Premier David Burt after winning the Verbal Victory Spelling Bee. The event celebrated young Bermudians’ language skills, with Jared earning top honours among nine finalists from schools across the island.

Jared Arnante ’31, winner of the Verbal Victory Spelling Bee, visited Government House to meet the Governor. Jared was joined by runner-up Olivia Brown and third-place finisher Samantha Hernandez to celebrate their success in the island-wide competition.

Somersfield Academy’s Jared Arnante, 10, won the inaugural Bermuda Spelling Bee. Competing against top spellers, he prevailed after 20+ rounds, tackling words like “mnemonic” & “lugubrious.” Fellow Somersfield student Conor Lim also competed. A proud moment for Somersfield!

Congratulations to Somersfield Academy students Conor Lim, Jared Arnante, Sophia Clingerman, and alternate Suzanne Prabis for representing our school at the Bermuda Spelling Bee Eastern Zone Semi-Finals! Jared and Conor secured second and third place, earning spots in the upcoming finals on March 8. A special thank you to their dedicated coach, Ms. Franklin, for her support.
