Community Projects that Matter
On Friday last week Somersfield Academy hosted its M3 Class of 2015 Community Project. The M3 Community Project focuses on community and service, encouraging students to explore their rights and responsibility to implement service as action in the community.
Somersfield Wins Overseas Robotics Event
The Somersfield Academy Lego robotics team won first place at the IEEE Ottawa Robotics Competition with a 97/100 score. Their "King of the Hill" robot excelled in challenges, thanks to the team’s expertise and guidance from coach Mark Brown and mentors. Somersfield’s robotics programme continues to thrive.
Somersfield’s butterfly garden required teamwork and research
Somersfield Academy’s butterfly garden, created by volunteers including students and parents, features a variety of flowers and attracts butterflies like the Monarch and Blue Morpho. It's a vibrant space for learning and community service, enhancing the school's environment and biodiversity.
