Community Projects that Matter

June 04, 2015 — On Friday last week Somersfield Academy hosted its M3 Class of 2015 Community Project. The M3 Community Project focuses on community and service, encouraging students to explore their rights and responsibility to implement service as action in the community.

The Community Project gives students opportunity to develop awareness of needs in various communities and address those needs through service learning. As students evolve through the service learning process, they engage in one or more types of action: direct service, indirect service, advocacy and research.

The M3 Class of 2015 devoted a great deal of time and effort to their projects which were showcased last Friday at Somersfield Academy.
