15-year-old Giles Lorimer Turner, a Somersfield Academy alumnus now studying at Rugby School, has gained fame through viral YouTube videos of cliff-jumping in Bermuda. Alongside his brothers James and William, and friends from their school days, Giles creates videos that capture their adventures and highlight the beauty of Bermuda's shores. Their work has been praised by Tourism Minister Wayne Furbert.

Robotics team show they are programmed to win
The rookie Somersfield Academy Lego Robotics Team won three trophies at the FLL Toronto Regional Competition. They secured the robot challenge trophy, the most promising new entry award, and the best innovative solution trophy. Their idea involved using aluminium boxes to protect food containers from pests.
Students doing their part to stomp out crime
Shamar Morris and Camila Papadopoulo, both 14, are creating a calendar with their classmates at Somersfield Academy to support Crime Stoppers Bermuda. The project helps raise awareness and encourages young people to report crimes. The calendars will be given out to schools and businesses before Christmas.

Andrew Sussman from Somersfield Academy received a $500 scholarship from the Bermuda Shakespeare Schools Festival for a summer intensive at Stagedoor Manor. His summer is booked with Bermuda Glee and a Gilbert and Sullivan Society workshops.
