Somersfield Runners Shine at BSSF Middle School Cross Country Championship
Our middle school cross country team put in an outstanding effort at the BSSF Championship at the Arboretum. The U13 girls, led by Evelyn Fahy (3rd) and Elena Bortoli (4th), ran a strong race, while the U13 boys claimed a well-earned bronze medal. The O13 girls showed determination in an unfamiliar sport, and the O13 boys narrowly missed the podium, finishing just 4 points shy. A huge thank you to our supportive parents and coach Vivienne Lochhead!
Under-13 Team Claims Silver in Six-a-Side Tournament!
Our Under-13 boys’ football team proudly earned silver in the Six-a-Side tournament, finishing second after a hard-fought final against favourites Saltus. Their teamwork & determination were outstanding. Congratulations to Matteo, Cairo, James, Augustus, Charlie, Riley, Mason & Mathis!
Somersfield Middle School Field Hockey Teams Excel at BSSF Tournament
Somersfield's middle school field hockey teams excelled at the BSSF and BHF tournaments on October 16. The girls' team won against MSA Blue and Warwick White, finished third overall after a semi-final loss to MSA White and a win against Warwick White. The Green team claimed second place, winning against Francis Patton and Warwick White, while tying with MSA. The Blue team also secured third place after defeating Warwick Blue. Coaches included Megan Troake and Emma Moran-Lee.
