IS CHICKEN REALLY GOOD FOR YOU? Eleven-year-old Aiyetoro Hinds tackles the meaty issue in a school science project
An 11-year-old Somersfield student, Aiyetoro Hinds, studied the effects of chicken feed on growth and behaviour for a science project. Over 16 days, he observed that chickens fed fortified feed grew faster but exhibited aggressive behaviour and developed unhealthy organs. Organic-fed chickens were smaller, more active, and tasted better. The study led Aiyetoro and his family to question the healthiness of conventional chicken, citing potential links to obesity and aggression in humans.
Somersfield Academy Students Gear Up for Model UN, Represent Egypt and Promote Global Peace
Nine Somersfield Academy students are preparing to represent Egypt at the Montessori Model United Nations in New York. The UN Club, guided by Miss Wilkes, meets twice weekly to research and prepare position papers on topics like children's rights and poverty.
