In March, our school community will come together to celebrate International Day through an exciting range of country studies across all year levels. From January to March, each class will explore a unique country, building global awareness through culture, geography, wildlife, and traditions. As we celebrate 35 years of Somersfield, our anniversary logo has been thoughtfully designed to honour our history, reflect our values, and acknowledge the journey that has shaped us as a school community. Created by Talisa McGlashan, Somersfield parent.
Through MAUS, students moved beyond history into human stories of family, trauma, and survival. Thoughtful discussions led to creative projects such as comics, maps, and newspapers that connected past and present, deepened empathy, and honoured voices and memories that must never be forgotten.
Somersfield Academy is proud of its partnership with LB Football Academy. Led by Leo Burgess, five volunteer coaches deliver inclusive, high-quality lunchtime coaching for P5–DP students, supporting skill development, strong seasons, and a lasting love of the game.
