Somersfield Academy Students Join UN Conference on Gender Equality
Over March break, DP1 students participated in the UNIS UN Conference on Gender Equality in Manhattan. The conference united over 30 schools worldwide. Students engaged in workshops, debates, and panel discussions, hearing from high-ranking diplomats including Ambassadors of Sweden, Iceland, and Malta.
Somersfield MYP/DP Students Debate Global Issues at GCIMUN
Somersfield Academy delegation of M4 and DP students flew to New York over the weekend to participate in The Global Classrooms International Model United Nations Conference (GCIMUN). Over 1,000 students participated from 37 schools from around the world.

Ten Somersfield Academy students and two teachers attended the 12th annual Model UN Conference in New York on May 11. Over three days, they engaged in debate and discussion on global issues, with speeches from UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and US Ambassador Susan Rice, gaining valuable insights into the UN.
Somersfield Academy Students Gear Up for Model UN, Represent Egypt and Promote Global Peace
Nine Somersfield Academy students are preparing to represent Egypt at the Montessori Model United Nations in New York. The UN Club, guided by Miss Wilkes, meets twice weekly to research and prepare position papers on topics like children's rights and poverty. Fundraising efforts, including themed events, support this educational endeavour. The experience aims to foster global peace, cultural exchange, and develop key skills
Somersfield Academy Students Represent Bermuda at United Nations Conference
Students from Somersfield Academy joined peers from around the world at a United Nations conference in New York, discussing the role of corporations in modern society. Ben Collis represented Somersfield at the event, organized by the UN International School. The conference, part of an initiative promoting global peace and tolerance, allowed students to explore critical issues such as healthcare, the environment, and development.
