Students Address Real-World Issues at Personal Project Exhibition 2026
Somersfield Academy’s M5 students will present the culmination of their International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) learning at the annual Personal Project Exhibition, held in the Somersfield Academy Gymnasium. The exhibition celebrates independent inquiry, creativity, and sustained commitment and forms a key component of Bermuda’s only IB MYP programme. Somersfield welcomes students from other schools to attend and experience the exhibition.
Somersfield Makes a Splash at the Cardboard Boat Competition
Four Somersfield teams took on the Institute of Bermuda Architects Cardboard Boat Competition, launching creative boats with three reaching the finish line afloat. It was an exciting day with impressive teamwork, bold efforts, and a few dramatic sinkings.
M1–M5 Job Shadowing Information 2025
Our annual Job Shadowing Day for M1–M5 students is on Monday, June 23, 2025. Students are encouraged to explore career interests by spending the day with a professional. Parents may assist with placements and are invited to host students. Forms are due by Friday, June 6.
Somersfield Academy head girl: A voice for students
Kelsea Williams, Head Prefect at Somersfield Academy, oversees the M4 and M5 prefects, her role involves managing the prefects, chairing meetings, and representing student concerns. Kelsea values the role for its portfolio boost and fun perks, like the candy locker and field trip supervision. Outside school, she enjoys socialising, piano, voice lessons, and the Youth in Touch programme. She looks forward to exploring life beyond Bermuda.
