Somersfield Students Compete at Public Speaking and Debate Tournament
Somersfield students competed in the 16th Annual Public Speaking and Debate Tournament at Warwick Academy. Jameson Feldman placed 2nd in News Podcast, while Djibril Aw earned 2nd in After-Dinner Speaking and 3rd in Interpretive Reading. Two debate teams also represented the school with dedication.

Somersfield Academy recently had the honour of hosting the 15th National Public Speaking and Debate Tournament, a prestigious event that brought together talented students from Bermuda and beyond to showcase their skills in debate and public speaking.
Somersfield Student Competes in International Public Speaking Competition
Zarah Siddiqi ‘26 represented Somersfield at the International Independent Schools Public Speaking Competition. The event featured 99 international students from the USA, Canada, and India competing alongside 16 Bermudian students. Zarah showcased her public speaking skills in categories like Parliamentary Debate and Dramatic Interpretation.
SA Students Join National Debate Team at WSDC Vietnam 2023
Two of our national debate champions, Oliver Cherry, 16, and Ann Pursell, 15, join the Bermuda National Debate Team as they head for WSDC 2023 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
