Sharks Clinch Double Victory in Thrilling Matches Against BHS

November 6, 2025 — The Somersfield Sharks served up another triumph in both their matches against BHS yesterday afternoon.

In the Under 13 game, we scored first with ease. BHS then increased the pace and took the lead in the 2nd quarter. Somersfield immediately rose to the challenge in the 3rd quarter and retained the lead. In a nail-biting finish, we ended the game at 6 points to 5.

The Over 13 team played their hearts out on the court and fought hard in every single quarter. The girls displayed excellent team-work and co-ordination and were able to hold off BHS in the final few minutes! In another exciting finish, we won the match with 12 points to 11.

For the Under 13 game, the MVP was given to Evelyn as she dug deep in her Goal Shoot position. The Most Improved Player was given to Jeanne for her excellent defense up and down the court.

For the Over 13 game, the MVP was given to Aniah for her impressive movement around the court. The Most Improved Player was given to Kate for her consistent intercepts throughout the game.

All round, an impressive show of grit and determination from the Sharks!

Thanks to alumna Shi-vaughn Lee and the student coaches (Riley, Emily and Milena) for their work with the teams yesterday.
