Under 16s Triumph, Over 16s Rally in Hard-Fought Clash with Warwick

November 18, 2025 — Somersfield hosted Warwick today in the senior school netball league. Our Under 16 team took charge of the game from the start, and finished the game a very convincing win at 30-4. MVP goes to Sydney Troake for her consistent shooting and dominance in the goal third and mid court. MIP is Emily Paulos for her strong centre passes and linkage down the court to assist in our attacking play.

The Over 16s had a tougher game, we had an early lead but then Warwick came back and were 14-6 up by the end of the first half. We adjusted the line up and the girls had a very impressive 2nd half drawing all quarters so finishing really strong despite the score line of 13-21. So proud of the girls for not giving up and pushing till the final whistle. MIP Paige Lindo for her shooting and versatility in transitioning into Wing Attack in the 2nd half of the match, providing strong support into the circle. MVP to our defence trio of Riley Jones, Dezirae Darrell and Heidi Paulos limiting Warwick's scoring possibilities.
