Strong Performances From Primary Football Teams in Matches Against Elliot

November 13, 2025 — On Thursday afternoon, our Somersfield Primary girls’ and boys’ teams laced up and proudly walked up to Elliot Primary School for another exciting round of league action.

The girls kicked things off and immediately set the tone. From the first whistle, they dominated play with confidence, smart passing, and fantastic teamwork—clearly putting their training sessions to good use. Madison Ramsay had a standout performance in goal, making key saves and showing great composure throughout the match.
The girls secured a strong 5–1 victory, with goals scored by Molly Morton (x2), Yuna Gelhar, Aine Fahy, and Myla Desjardins. A brilliant team effort all around!

The boys were up next and faced a very strong and determined Elliot squad. Despite battling hard from start to finish, the boys fell 7–2. Both Somersfield goals came from William Mitchell, who showed great skill and persistence up front.
While the result wasn’t in our favour, the boys walked away with valuable lessons and renewed determination—they’re already looking forward to bouncing back in their next match.

A huge thank you to Coach Rychus for his excellent coaching and leadership with both teams. And a big thank you to all the parents who came out to support—your encouragement means so much to our players.

Well done to all our athletes for representing Somersfield with heart, teamwork, and spirit!
