Back-to-Back Wins for Somersfield in League Matches Against CedarBridge
November 13, 2025 — Somersfield welcomed CedarBridge after school today and won both of our league matches.
The U16 team won 24-7, maintaining a strong lead from the start. Sydney as GA scored the majority of the goals but a significant number were made by Milena and Margot. We were so impressed with Margot today that she earns the Most Improved Player award as she stood up to the strong defence in Cedarbridge but held her nerve and ground to score several points for the team. MVP is a difficult call to make as the girls all had an amazing game today, but we would recognise Annabel as a key defence player denying Cedarbridge scoring opportunities.
Our O16 team also dominated their league game winning 23-5. MVP again difficult to choose as the girls were all on their A game today, but we would award to Riley for being a powerhouse as WA and also switching to GK to consistently intercept the long ball passes. Special mention to Paige, Naomi and Sydney for their consistent shooting.
