Donor and Volunteer Appreciation Evening
As the sun set over the DP Building rooftop on 10 June, we came together to celebrate the heart of our school community—our generous donors and dedicated volunteers. The evening was filled with powerful reflections, inspiring stories, and meaningful conversations, all highlighting the lasting impact of giving.
Kristen Scott Ndiaye, Development and Marketing Manager, welcomed guests and set the tone for the night. Jody Feldman shared highlights from this year’s Golf Committee, and Richard Lightowler spoke on the success of the Corporate Scholarship Team. Charlie Judd, Head of Secondary, led a thoughtful Q&A with scholars Khwai Mendoza and Roman Jones. In a moving moment, Karim Creary reflected on his reasons for giving back: “I know I wouldn't have had the Somersfield experience, if someone hadn't given.”
This year, we also proudly presented our first Volunteer of the Year award to Pam Fraser, in recognition of her exceptional commitment to the school. Though Pam was unable to attend, her husband accepted the award on her behalf.
To our 302 donors and 165 volunteers—thank you.
Your generosity raised $834,000 this year:
– 100% board participation
– 50 families supported by bursaries
– 12 students awarded equity and merit scholarships
You are shaping futures, and we are deeply grateful.
