BSSF Primary School Boys Hockey Tournament

All primary schools in Bermuda were invited and encouraged to the NSC for a stickwork competition and round robin tournament. The Bermuda Hockey Federation sponsored the event with umpires and tech officials and given field hockey equipment for their PE classes and school teams. Invitations to participate in the BHF junior programmes were also shared.

Our Somersfield Green team went undefeated yesterday in Pool A of the round robin games against MSA, West Pembroke, Northlands and Purvis. They went on to win the crossover game against Somersfield Blue. Thanks to Rob Livingston for jumping in on the day to help with coaching and substitutions! Our Somersfield Blue team won against Port Royal and MSA. They had a narrow loss of 1 nil to Elliott to complete their Pool B round robin games.

Congratulations to Trevor Mills and Cla Valli who won the afternoon stickwork competition. We are so pleased with all the boys quick progress after only 4 lunch time training sessions this year! We look forward to playing more hockey in the future.

Other schools that competed in the morning time slot were Saltus, Warwick, East End, Prospect, Francis Patton, Harrington Sound, St. George’s Prep and Victor Scott.
