Primary Students Show Growth and Team Spirit at Rugby Festival

P6 Rugby Players

On Wednesday, February 25, our Primary students enjoyed a fantastic day of rugby at the NSC North Field for the annual Primary Rugby Festival. With bright sunshine and clear blue skies overhead, it was the perfect day to be outside developing skills and enjoying the game.

Hundreds of students from primary schools across Bermuda gathered for a full day of rugby fun. The morning focused on engaging skills and drills sessions, where students rotated through activities designed to build passing accuracy, teamwork, agility, and game awareness. It was wonderful to see so many students enthusiastically learning, practicing, and supporting one another.

In the afternoon, the excitement continued with friendly matches against other schools. Our students showed great determination, and it was clear how much they had improved throughout the day. They confidently applied the skills they had learned in the morning sessions, demonstrating stronger passing, better positioning, and teamwork during their games.

Mrs. Troake and Ms. Winstanley accompanied the students and worked tirelessly throughout the day to coach, manage, and referee games, ensuring that everyone had a positive and rewarding experience.

A big thank you also goes to our parent volunteers who kindly assisted with transporting students to and from the event. Your support helps make opportunities like this possible for our children.

It was truly a memorable day of sunshine, skill-building, and school spirit — well done to all our rugby players!
