Somersfield Primary Boys Take a Confident 3–1 Win in Season Opener

November 5, 2025 — The Primary Boys Football team played their first league game of the season on Wednesday, November 5th, at Somersfield Academy against St. George’s Prep. As it was the opening match of the league, there were certainly some nerves, but under the steady guidance of Coach Rychus, the boys quickly settled into their rhythm and played with growing confidence.

Somersfield opened the scoring with a great team effort — Trevor Mills found the back of the net after a well-placed assist from Maddox Seymour Durham. Trevor went on to score again, doubling Somersfield’s lead with another strong finish. St. George’s Prep fought back and managed to score, bringing the game to 2–1, but Maddox sealed the victory for Somersfield with a third goal, securing a 3–1 win for the home side.

A big thank-you to Coach Rychus for his guidance and support of the team, and to Coach Cameron for serving as referee for the match. It was a fantastic start to the season — well done, boys!
