P1 - P4 'Paws to Read' Programme to Pilot in Library

We are pleased to introduce Somersfield Academy’s “Paws to Read” literacy initiative in the Margaret Hallett Library. Students can join Mrs. Feldman for an evening of guided reading alongside her dog, Molly, while parents and older siblings participate in the PTA’s Trivia Night on Friday, February 9 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Molly offers students a safe, gentle, non-judgmental listening audience with unconditional positive regard. Reading to dogs has been proven to reduce childhood anxiety and improve confidence and attitudes towards reading.

Space is limited and registration is only available for our P1 and Lower Primary (P2 - P4) Students. Please feel free to contact Mrs. Feldman for further details at cfeldman@somersfield.bm
