Primary Division Sports Day Round Up!
On April 16th, 17th, and 18th, the Somersfield Academy field was buzzing with excitement as we hosted our Children’s House, Lower Primary, and Upper Primary sports days. The field was the centre of activity as students competed in a variety of events, supported by enthusiastic family members and friends.
Our students had been diligently training in PE lessons for several weeks, preparing for their Sports Day. When the day finally arrived, they were eager to showcase their skills in front of their supporters. We carefully recorded their times and results during practice to ensure fair and competitive heats on Sports Day. Some students thrived on the energy of the crowd, while others were a bit more reserved—but no matter their approach, we hoped every student had a fantastic time and left feeling proud of their achievements.
For the Lower Primary students, the highlight was the Golden Shoe Relay, where the fastest boy and girl from each age group competed in a final relay race. This year, the Snappers class emerged victorious, winning the Golden Shoe Relay with an impressive performance.
For the Upper Primary students, each event earned individual points and house points, adding an extra level of competition and teamwork. By the end of the day, the scores were totalled to determine the winners, creating an atmosphere of excitement and camaraderie.
