Interact Group: Champions of Service in the Community

On Friday afternoons, a remarkable group of 22 students at Somersfield Academy gathers with boundless enthusiasm as part of the Interact group. Their motto, "service above self," encapsulates their unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on both the local community and the world. Rooted in the values of Rotary International, this group of young leaders aims to promote peace, combat disease, provide clean water and sanitation, save mothers and children, support education, boost local economies, and protect the environment.

Their dedication to service knows no bounds. This year, their ambitious plans include a food drive, toy drive, and the creation of community gardens to provide food for a local church. They also intend to maintain the school's microforest, join clean-up efforts with KBB, and organize a diaper drive to aid mothers in Bermuda. These initiatives reflect their profound commitment to improving the lives of those around them.

Moreover, the Somersfield Interact Group extends a helping hand to their own community. They've assisted teachers with various tasks, such as cutting and laminating, classroom organization, set painting, and mentoring younger students during the AG show. No task is too small or too large for this dedicated group; they're ready and willing to tackle any challenge.

So, if you're part of the Somersfield community and need assistance, don't hesitate to reach out. The Interact group is here to serve, embodying the spirit of "service above self" and demonstrating that small actions can lead to significant change. Together, they're making the world a better place—one act of kindness at a time.
