Dr. Judith Bartley Honoured for Service to Youth Leadership
Somersfield Academy proudly congratulates Dr. Judith Bartley, who was recently honoured by Rotary District 7230 for her dedicated service to youth leadership and community engagement in Bermuda. During a special ceremony hosted as part of a Rotary leadership conference, Dr. Bartley was recognised alongside youth advisers and Interact members from across the island.
The event also celebrated the 50-year legacy of Mr. Kirk Kitson, who received a Rotary Youth Trailblazer award for introducing Interact to Bermuda.
Dr. Bartley’s recognition is a testament to her years of dedicated support for the Interact programme at Somersfield Academy. For two years, she co-led the school’s dynamic Interact group, empowering students to engage in impactful service initiatives. While she is not currently co-leading the programme, Dr. Bartley looks forward to returning to this role in the future, continuing to inspire Somersfield students to live the Rotary motto of “service above self.”
Her leadership extends beyond school walls. Whether mentoring students or shaping inclusive policy across Rotary International, Dr. Bartley exemplifies the principle of “service above self.” Her work empowers young people to lead with purpose and helps strengthen Rotary’s global mission of compassion, equity, and meaningful change.
