Celebrating Excellence: Somersfield Academy’s Denton Hurdle Nominees

We are proud to announce Somersfield Academy’s nominees for the 2025 Denton Hurdle Award:

Primary PE teacher Amy Winstanley shared, “Both Eva and Leo have consistently demonstrated exceptional athletic ability, leadership, sportsmanship, and a strong commitment to representing Somersfield with pride and integrity in all areas of school life.”

We also wish to commend all of our shortlisted students. The selection process was highly competitive, as each nominee has shown excellence and dedication in sport, teamwork, and school spirit.

Secondary PE teacher David Lunn added, “This nomination is a reflection of their outstanding athletic achievements, leadership, and sportsmanship during their time at Somersfield. We are incredibly proud of the contributions they have made to our sports programme and the example they have set for their peers.”
