Join Team Somersfield in Memory of Eoghan Homan for the PALS 36th Annual Walk

Eoghan Homan, a cherished member of the Somersfield Community, left an indelible mark as a devoted athlete and friend. Born in Bermuda in 2006, Eoghan started at the school at age 3, he would have been part of this year’s 2024 graduating class. He was much beloved by staff and fellow students as an honour student, and for his sense of humour and teamwork. He was a national champion in running and a committed footballer with Vasca da Gama. Eoghan's passion extended to his avid support for the English Premier League's Liverpool, Formula One car racing, and the NBA's Boston Celtics.

The Homans, a close-knit family consisting of parents Colm and Niamh, and sister Aisling, have been deeply affected by the loss of Eoghan. Eoghan passed away at the age of 16, concluding a 14-month battle against the rare and aggressive pediatric cancer, Ewing’s sarcoma, affecting just two children in a million.

Last year, His death on February 23 at Boston Children’s Hospital prompted hundreds to sign up as Team Eoghan for the record-breaking fundraiser walk by the cancer charity PALS.

This year please join us once again for the PALS Annual Walk to raise money to provide medical care, equipment and supplies, and support for cancer patients and their families in memory of Eoghan Homan.
