Nico Bean is Somersfield’s First Alpha Beautillion Winner

Somersfield Academy is proud to celebrate Nico Bean ‘26, who has made history as the first Somersfield student to win the prestigious Alpha Beautillion, hosted by the Bermuda Epsilon Theta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Now in its 23rd year, the Alpha Beautillion Programme continues to uphold a tradition of excellence, empowering Bermuda’s young men to become confident, community-minded leaders. Over a six-month journey, high school students, known as “Beaus”, engage in leadership training, public speaking, mentorship, skill-building workshops, and community service. The programme culminates in a gala evening where participants share their growth and achievements with families, friends, and community leaders.

This year’s event featured six exceptional young men, each demonstrating dedication, leadership, and academic drive.

Nico, an Equity & Merit scholar, embodies the qualities this distinction celebrates: a passion for learning, a positive attitude toward personal growth, active involvement in community service and extracurricular activities, and a commitment to thinking critically, acting compassionately, and contributing as a global citizen.

Nico’s commitment, hard work, and positive spirit shone throughout the programme, earning him top honours as the 2025 Alpha Beautillion winner, along with scholarship awards recognising his outstanding achievement.

Nico’s journey embodies Somersfield’s mission to inspire socially conscious, independent thinkers. We believe education is not just academic but transformational, and Nico has exemplified this by embracing every opportunity to grow as a compassionate, capable, and community-focused leader.

We are incredibly proud to have sponsored Nico in this milestone experience and even prouder to see him emerge as its winner. His success marks an exciting moment in Somersfield’s story—and sets a powerful example for the students who will follow in his footsteps.

Congratulations, Nico. Your Somersfield family is cheering you on.
