Alumna Emily Nagel’s Journey from the Waters to SailGP Commentary

We’re incredibly proud to highlight the achievements of our alumna, Emily Nagel, whose journey from the waters of Bermuda to the international sailing stage and now the commentator’s booth at SailGP Season 3 is truly inspiring.

Emily’s story is one of determination and passion. From leading a male-dominated sailing team to victory in the USA, to competing in prestigious races like the Volvo Ocean Race and now SailGP, she’s blazed a trail in the sailing world. Emily’s role as a Performance Data Analyst for the Great Britain SailGP Team showcases her diverse skill set, combining athleticism with technical expertise.

Her recent transition to SailGP commentator underscores Emily’s versatility and commitment to sharing her deep understanding of sailing with a global audience. As a proud alumna of Somersfield Academy, Emily embodies the spirit of excellence and innovation that defines our community.
