Little Change, Big Difference: Hannah Horsfield, ‘13

April 21, 2023 —- Welcome back to campus, alumna Hannah Horsefield, founder of Seabreeze Designs and Programmes Coordinator for BUEI (Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute). Hannah delivered a presentation to the Lower Primary students on the Beyond Plastic Bermuda initiative, that has teamed up with the The Government of Bermuda to curb the use of single-use plastics.

Hannah joined the school in 2000 and attests a huge part of who she is to the nurturing teachers at Somersfield Academy. “I joined when the campus was at Tivoli in Warwick and was able to witness the exciting transition to Devonshire! It was transformative to grow with the school. I can say with confidence that my entire year group is doing well in life and striving for success.

Eleven years later, we still get together annually to celebrate one another. Somersfield will always have a special place in my heart and I am honored to be able to return as an educator and inspire the next generation of Somersfieldians!

As an Eco-school and ahead of Earth Day, we were happy to have her inspire our students to take better care when making the decision to use single-use plastics and #SNTSUP at school and home. “A little Change Makes a Big Difference!”
