Legends, Stars and New Graduates Unite for Alumni Event
More than 60 former students and teachers spanning graduating classes from 2013 to 2026 returned to campus for the Legends and Stars Alumni Community Matches, meaning that Somersfield celebrates upward growth in it’s alumni network!
The event brought together alumni from across generations for an afternoon of friendly competition. Featuring both netball and football matches, the netball match saw the Stars secure a 6–3 victory, while the Football Legends claimed a hard-fought 3–2 win on the pitch.
A special highlight of the event was the participation of the school's newest alumni—the Class of 2026. Fresh from graduation, Aaliyah Haffar, Zarah Siddiqi, Marc Rajeh, Masaki Kitade, and Matthew Troake returned to campus to play, volunteer, and support the event, demonstrating the strong sense of connection that extends beyond graduation.
Following the matches, alumni gathered for a backyard BBQ and social event, enjoying the opportunity to reconnect with former classmates.
"One of our priorities is to build an alumni community where graduates continue to find value long after they leave campus," said Kristen Scott Ndiaye, Director of Advancement. "Somersfield instills a unique mission and we want our alumni network to be a place where friendships are maintained, professional connections are formed, opportunities are shared, and graduates feel a lasting sense of belonging. Bringing together more than 60 alumni and teachers from across 13 graduating classes shows that this vision is already taking shape."
As the final whistle blew and conversations continued well into the afternoon, the event served as a powerful reminder that while students may graduate, they remain an integral part of the school's story.
