We're thrilled to share the exciting news that two exceptionally talented Somersfield students, Naomi Every ‘24 and Jonah Every ‘26, have emerged as finalists in the prestigious Dr. Reg Grundy 2023 Photo competition. Set to enter its fourth year, this competition serves as a platform for the emerging generation of photographers to showcase their deep connection with Bermuda's natural and cultural wonders, all in honor of the esteemed Dr. Reg Grundy.

Dr. Reg Grundy, AC, OBE, stands as a luminary in the annals of international television production and distribution. Recognized as the trailblazer of local television production on a global scale, Dr. Grundy's legacy extends beyond the realm of television into the captivating world of wildlife photography. A proud Australian-Bermudian, he held a profound affection for his island home and spent over three decades captivated by the beauty of the Bermuda Longtail. His dedication led him to the cliffs of Astwood Park, the waters of Castle Harbour, and the heights of St. David’s Battery, tirelessly capturing the essence of these magnificent birds.

As we approach the final judging on December 7, we eagerly anticipate witnessing the visual narratives crafted by Naomi Every and Jonah Every. These talented individuals, inspired by Dr. Grundy's passion for wildlife photography, are poised to leave their mark on the competition and continue the legacy of capturing the essence of Bermuda's natural wonders.
